Days to harvest: 70 (Hybrid) Productive and early bearing. This new hybrid had 6-7 feet stalks with top quality, well-filled ears, each with 14-16 rows of juicy kernels. Best of all, ears stay sweet and tender for an extended harvest. Once picked, they hold their sweet flavor for a week. Planting and growing information can be found on the seed packet image. While Renee's Garden seeds are not all certified organic, they do not sell treated or GMO seeds and have signed the "Safe Seed Pledge". Planting & Care
Soil & Water:Plant in well worked, fertile soil in full sun. Corn is a heavy feeder, so add plenty of compost or aged manure to the soil at sowing and then fertilize young plants at 7-8" and again as ears form.
Planting & Growing: Once weather is warm and settled and night temperatures remain securely above 55 °F, plant seeds outdoors. Plant 1" deep and 4-6" apart. Plant in a block of 4 side-by-side rows, each row at least 1 foot apart. Thin seedlings to 1 foot apart once several inches high. Make several sowings 2 or 3 weeks apart until early June.
Harvesting & Storage: Well filled out ears of corn are ready to eat when the silks are very dark brown but not dried out. Test by choosing a plump ear and peeling back the husk slightly. The kernels should be tender and milky when slit. Kernels will hold their sweetness after harvest.
