Festuca arundinacea Perennial cover crop. Developed in 1954 for increased pasture forage yield. A good choice for mixing into pastures where short dry periods may occur. The only cool-season grass that can persist in many parts of the South. Tolerates poor drainage, alkalinity and salinity. Grows to 4.5 ft. Planting rate: 20-25 lb/acre or 1-2 lb/1000 sq ft. (No inoculant needed)
