STORAGE: All cultures should be stored in the freezer and will keep up to two years if stored properly. Herbs de Provence can be kept tightly sealed in its package in a cool, dry, dark place. This kit contains cultures that will die in temperatures over 100 degrees. Please make sure that the package they arrive in does not sit in a hot place for an extended period of time.
I have used this to make buttermilk, sour cream, and yogurt. They are really different than store-bought -- on a whole different level, and so delicious! There could be a bit more instruction in the booklet, especially when it comes to heating the milk and whether to stir it. I can't wait to make more!Review by Casey (on 6/11/12)
