Organic Pest Control Solutions Chart |
|
The Organic Pest Control Solutions Chart* provides a cross-reference between the pests being managed and the products (beneficial insects, physical controls, biologicals, mineral soaps & oils, botanicals, mineral fungicides) that help to control them. On the chart, OMRI stands for Organic Material Review Institute and NOP stands for National Organic Program. The former is a private not-for-profit organization based out of Eugene, Oregon, that is widely recognized by many organic certifiers across the west coast; while the latter relates to the new National Organic Program that the US Department of Agriculture nationally implemented a couple of year ago. A "listing" by either organization generally indicates to a certified grower that the use of a particular product is allowed (although we always recommend that a certified grower checks with its own certifying agency, at the time of use, as these listings change often). * Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader. |
