For Fast Nitrogen Water-soluble 10.4% N. Usually applied as foliar spray, but can be run through most irrigation systems with filtration or used directly on soil. Very potent. Average foliar application rates: row crops: 4-6 lb/acre; orchards, vineyards, etc: 4-5 lb in 20 gallons (minimum) of water. At lower rate, use 1 tbs/gal. Agitate during application. Most effective when applied at pre-bloom, again at early leaf development, again at fruit set, and during periods of expected plant stress. Combine with kelp extracts and other foliars as needed. For ground applications, use at least 20 lb/100 gal of water/acre. Beware there are fish powders on the market with lower Nitrogen and higher oil content, which can cause leaf spotting, poor solubility and phytotoxicity.
