Humates Granular is a highly concentrated, granular soil amendment that is ideal for use on turf, lawn and vegetable gardens. Carefully mined from the world's richest deposit of humic shale, it is comprised of the ancient remains of organic plant materials composted over 75 million years.
Humates Granular is comprised of 100% humic shale ore and can lower the pH of alkali soil, help increase water and nutrient retention and improve the cation exchange capacity of your soil In addition, it's unusually high carbon content aids in balancing soil carbon-to-nitrogen ratios. Each one of these qualities is fundamental in increasing the availability of essential elements to your plants and stimulating the growth of microorganisms that process organic plant nutrients.
Use for beds, vegetables & ground covers (15 lbs/100 sq ft on new plantings and once again during the growing season), turf (use 5 lbs/100 sq ft when seeding and 1.5 lbs/100 sq ft for maintenance), trees (drill & fill 1-1/2" diameter holes in early spring or late fall) and houseplants (1 tsp/4" pot diameter).
