Arctostaphyllos uva-ursi 'Radiant'
Zones 5-10. Evergreen. Most widely adapted of all the manzanita. Noted for its red stems, small, glossy bright green leaves which turn a pinkish-red in winter. Grows prostrate, rooting as it spreads, and eventually forms a lovely even mat 3-6" high and 3-5' wide. A nice groundcover, prefers some shade and needs summer water, especially in hot areas. Slow to initially get started.
