For home gardens and landscaping. Attractive, fountain-like. Use flowers for dried arrangements. 3-4' tall, 8' wide. Yields over long period in spring and fall. Seed propagated, not crown divisions. Hardy to Zone 5.

In warm areas, such as CA, treat as a perennial and leave for 6-7 years until they need to be divided. In colder regions, artichokes should be treated as annuals as the roots will die with prolonged freezing. Plant 4-6' apart, in rows 8 ft apart. Non-taxable.
