The latest in seed starting! Styrofoam Floating Trays constantly wick via capillary action to keep seedlings perfectly hydrated. Fill Floating Trays with Gro-Plugs which are pre-shaped spongy plugs of stabilized rooting media that, made of coco fiber and small amount of a synthetic polymer, provide the optimum growing environment (note: Gro-Plugs may not be acceptable for all organic certifiers). Floating Trays can work with other potting mixes, but requires experimentation.
To put together your Penthouse Floating System, order a Penthouse Greenhouse & Dome Lid (GP364), a Floating Tray (choose from 18-Cell, 40-Cell and 60-Cell Trays), and Gro-Plugs (choose the appropriate size for the floating tray you are using). The 18-Cell Floating Tray is 7-3/4" x 13-1/4" l x 2-1/4" h, and individual cells are 1-7/8" dia. Use with Gro-Plugs 18 (GP368).
