pH adjuster & foliar spray enhancer Natural food preservative. Also used to prevent discoloration of fresh-cut fruit and vegetable products and as a pH adjuster of foliar sprays and irrigation water. Growers find that citric acid also aids in uptake of foliar nutrients, similar to the way in which ascorbic acid works. Ours is food-grade citric acid.
