Another fine alternative use for sustainable and renewable coconut shells. Use these coarse chips for mulching, hydroponics, or growing medium for bromeliads and orchids. It's pH 5.2—6.5 is ideal for potting amendments. Chips are about ¼" x ½". Long lasting material wets and rewets easily and releases water evenly as chips dry out. Densely packed in a bale approximately 13" x 13" x 8".
