Certified Organic. A cool season, annual cereal grain.
They can be used for increasing organic matter, livestock feed, as a nurse crop for legumes and in areas where they winterkill-as a smother crop against weeds. Montezuma Red Oats mature a few weeks earlier than California Red but has less biomass. California Red Oats develop earlier than Cayuse White, but Cayuse White Oats have more leaf growth and therefore provide more organic matter, sometimes up to 14% more. Seed at 90-160 pounds per acre.
