Raphanus sativus Annual Very large, from Germany, scarlet-red skin, crisp white, slightly pungent flesh, harvest from marble to baseball size, will not get woody or spongy.

Soil & Water: Radishes prefer well-drained soil with plenty of added organic matter. They have low nutrient requirements; especially avoid excess nitrogen to promote good root development. Preferred soil pH is 6.0-7.0.

Planting & Growing: Cool weather is needed for best development. Sow seed directly wherever there is extra space in the garden. Radishes make good, living row markers for slower germinating crops like carrots.

Harvesting & Storage: A mid- to late-season variety. Harvest whenever large enough to use. Store in cool, moist conditions.

Did You Know? Radishes are a great source of vitamin C.

Sun/Shade: Full Sun, Planting Depth: 1/2", Spacing After Thinning: 4"-6", Soil Temperature: 45-90°F, Days To Germinate: 4-12, Days To Maturity: 29 -35, Height At Maturity: 6"-12" Seeds/unit 11690
