Nitrate is the primary form of nitrogen used by plants for growth. A deficiency limits plant and leaf growth while an excess weakens plantsŐ resistance to stress (insects, disease, frost, drought), creates problems in the fruiting stage and affects quality during storage and shipping. You simply squeeze the plant sap onto the meter to obtain an accurate in-field PPM readout of NO3. The meter also tests nitrate concentrations in samples of soil, fertilizers, compost, fertigation or foliar feeds. Comes with solutions, filter bags and a case. Replacement supplies are available.
