Extend your planting season with this beautifully constructed coldframe that can handle over a foot of snow!
15" high in the back, 11.7" high in the front, 39"L x 34"D, weighs only 13 lb.
Similar to the two-sided Juwel Coldframe 120/100. This 100/90 style is a good choice for placement against a wall or fence. Both styles have multiple venting options.
The extruded aluminum frame with ribbed double-wall translucent polycarbonate glazing has a hinged top which opens at the front or lifts off completely.
Galvanized-steel ground anchors.
Assembles with a Phillips screwdriver. Includes latches to prop the lid open, or lock it down.
Use Automatic Vent Openers for temperature control.
I found assembly extremely difficult. I am trying to find out if the newer models have become more user-friendly in this regard. I grew greens year-round in Northern NM for several years with this--just piled on blankets at night in the winter!Review by Nomadheart (on 4/4/13)
I purchased an earlier version of this greenhouse about 8 years ago, and it has served me well through tough winters in Utah and Montana. The optional self-opening vent is a necessary accessory in Western climates with cold nights and sunny days.Review by Desertographer (on 11/3/12)
I use this in the spring for planting lettuce and then as an intermediate spot for plants started indoors on their way outside. I have it on a 2' high raised bed which makes it easy to reach, has good soil in it and helps keeps pests out. Great with the auto vent opener (the small one).<br /> This has been performing well for us for several years.Review by equus oregon (on 9/10/12)
