All About Ordering Native and Water-Wise PlantsWe are very excited to be offering California native plants from Cornflower Farms of Elk Grove, CA. They've been growers of quality California natives and water-wise plants since 1981 when they decided to "grow what everyone else will not or can not grow". If you haven't already fallen in love with our beautiful natives, we encourage you to give them a try. Native plants are a vital part of California's inherent beauty, and preservation of our natural heritage comes from the many small actions any of us can take to restore or create native gardens or habitats. Natives are adapted to our Mediterranean climate, but do not assume they are all drought tolerant. We have great regional diversity in soil, temperature, water, and elevation so native plants differ as do their native environments. Your greatest successes with natives will occur where conditions most closely resemble native habitat. For example, some natives are only found along year-round water like streams and seeps, so they actually need water during the summers—these are good candidates for a typically watered garden. We've tried to provide enough information about each plant to give you a sufficient idea of just what kind of home you should plan for it. Enjoy! Plants are West coast natives unless otherwise noted. All native plants are taxable. Cannot ship to Hawaii and AK. Available to Ship: Early September Ordering Deadline: Until sold out — typically by Late November Description: Potted plants in 2.25" square x 3" high pots. Special Shipping Requirements: Cornflower native plants ship separately from any other items. Up to 16 plants may be fit into one box (9"x 9"x 9"). Shipping charges are by the box and by zone. (Same price whether the box contains 1 or 16 plants.) Shipments to zones 2, 3 & 4 ship via Ground, to zones 5, 6, 7 & 8 ship via Fedex 3-Day. Price per box:

Order Early: Usually, we order finite quantities of plant material far in advance, so we strongly encourage you to place your orders as early as possible. All orders are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, so when you order, the products are committed to you even if they do not ship until weeks or months later. Shipping Schedule: The Available to Ship dates are approximate, but please be aware that we will immediately ship your order when the stock becomes available (either arrives into our warehouse or becomes available to ship direct from a vendor). Delay Ship Dates: Sorry, we cannot accommodate delays in shipping of bare-root items, onion transplants, citrus, and olive trees. Taxable: Natives plants are taxable in California. Bare-root Limited Replacement Guarantee: If your bare-root tree, kiwi, grape, artichoke, asparagus, or berry does not leaf out, contact our Customer Service by June 1st and return the dead plant to us for inspection. We will issue you a credit for the paid price of that plant (excluding freight) provided it does not show damage (from rodent, mechanical…etc) or root rot. This credit is redeemable toward the purchase of any other bare-root item of your choice the following year (Note: we reserve the right to not issue credit for replacement of already replaced items). Fig, pomegranate, and walnut trees are tricky to grow so our credit for these varieties is limited to 50% of the purchase price. This guarantee applies ONLY to Dave Wilson bare-root or potted trees (fruit and nut), artichokes, asparagus, grape vines, kiwi vines, blueberries, currants, caneberries, strawberries, and horseradish. This guarantee does notapply to flower bulbs, citrus trees, olive trees, onions, leeks, shallots, garlic, potatoes, native plants, or conifer seedlings. Limitation of Remedy: We warrant to the extent of the purchase price only that the seeds or plants sold hereunder are as described on the label within recognized tolerances. No other warranty is given, expressed or implied, (1) of the merchantability or fitness of the seeds or plants for any particular purpose, or (2) against loss due to any cause. We cannot accept any responsibility for the many uncontrollable growing and climatic conditions (soil preparation, fertilization, weed and pest control, temperature control, irrigation…etc.) that must be met to insure the success of your crop(s). Delivery: All fruit and vegetable stock is guaranteed to arrive in good condition. If there is an obvious problem upon delivery (such as damage in transit), call us immediately, so that we can review the situation and come to a quick and equitable resolution. If any item proves unsatisfactory within 30 days of the date of purchase, you can return it for a full refund (excluding shipping charges), subject to the merchandise being in unused, like-new condition and in its original packaging. Please note that special orders, custom seed mixes, live plants (for example, flower bulbs, bare-root trees and berries, onions, garlic, potatoes, and so forth) and beneficial insects are not returnable unless there is an obvious problem upon delivery (if so, call us immediately). Using the return form with your order, send the product back to us securely wrapped, freight prepaid and insured against loss or damage. If a defec-tive product is still under the manufacturer's warranty, we may request that you ship it directly to the manufacturer, so please always call us first.
