Olson Mini-Sprinklers Performance Specs & Set-up
Use the Olson Mini-Sprinklers in situations where you need large diameter, full-circle water coverage. To decide which sprinklers are appropriate for your system, see the Mini Sprinkler Chart for performance specifications of gallons per hour and spray throw diameters. Use the chart shown here to determine if & how this product is appropriate for your irrigation system. Consider your water flow capacity in gallons per hour (GPH), your water pressure (PSI), and pressure gains or losses due to topography or long pipe runs. To compare among all the micro sprayers and emitters we carry, you might find it easier to view pages 74-75 in our 2005 Main Catalog PDF which you can download here on the webpage. These sprinklers do use a lot of water compared to most drip emitters, so make sure you have adequate gallonage & pressure on the main 1/2" poly tubing line to run the number and types of sprinklers you'll be using.
Olson Mini-Sprinkers (IRS618, IRS619 or IRS620) may be set up a couple of different ways:
Set-up Option 1: Use a 6" Olson Riser (IRR615), an Olson Clamp (IRR628) which pokes a hole directly into the 1/2" poly tubing, and an Olson Base (IRR620) which stabilizes the set-up.
Set-Up Option 2 : Use an Irrigation Stake (IRR610) to hold the 1/4" tubing into which the Mini-Sprinkler head is directly inserted.
