All About Ordering Onion & Leek TransplantsAvailable to Ship: Mid October-Mid November 2005 (harvest time varies) Ordering Deadline: Until sold out — typically by late November Description: Approximately pencil-size live transplants, 20-30 plants per lb (size may vary greatly). Sold in 5 lb increments. Special Shipping Requirements: Ships separate from all other items, via FedEx within CA and via FedEx 3-Day outside CA (unless you assume responsibility for spoilage). Transplants must ship separately from other items. You should read this before you order transplants! Order transplants early because supply is limited and only available between mid-October and mid November. They are perishable and must ship as soon as they are harvested, so your order cannot be cancelled unless we locate another buyer. Also, the varieties & quantities you order may not become available at the same time, so plan to accept delivery as plants become available. This can result in additional shipments of back-ordered items at a higher cost, so inform us when you order if you will not accept any adjustments to shipping charges, so that any backorders will automatically be cancelled. Sorry, we cannot make any special exceptions. Transplants ship separately, so figure shipping separately. Sold in 5 lb increments. Shipping weight = net weight of product + 10%. Special Shipping Requirements: Shipping calculated as usual, by weight & zone. Can be packed with most of our products. Order Early: Usually, we order finite quantities of plant material far in advance, so we strongly encourage you to place your orders as early as possible. All orders are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, so when you order, the products are committed to you even if they do not ship until weeks or months later. Shipping Schedule: The Available to Ship date is approximate, but please be aware that we will immediately ship your order when the stock becomes available (either arrives into our warehouse or becomes available to ship direct from a vendor). Delay Ship Dates: Sorry, we cannot accommodate delays in shipping of bare-root items, onion transplants, or citrus and olive trees. Non-Taxable: California sales tax law exempts food-producing plants. All the items in the Fruit & Vegetables section are sales tax exempt. Bare-root Limited Replacement Guarantee:This guarantee applies ONLY to Dave Wilson bare-root trees (fruit, nut, ornamentals), artichokes, asparagus, grape vines, kiwi vines, blueberries, currants, raspberries, strawberries, and horseradish. This guarantee does not apply to citrus trees, olive trees, onions, leeks, shallots, garlic, potatoes, potted plants, or conifer seedlings. Limitation of Remedy: We warrant to the extent of the purchase price only that the seeds or plants sold hereunder are as described on the label within recognized tolerances. No other warranty is given, expressed or implied, (1) of the merchantability or fitness of the seeds or plants for any particular purpose, or (2) against loss due to any cause. We cannot accept any responsibility for the many uncontrollable growing and climatic conditions (soil preparation, fertilization, weed and pest control, temperature control, irrigation…etc.) that must be met to insure the success of your crop(s). Delivery: All fruit and vegetable stock is guaranteed to arrive in good condition. If there is an obvious problem upon delivery (such as damage in transit), call us immediately, so that we can review the situation and come to a quick and equitable resolution. If any item proves unsatisfactory within 30 days of the date of purchase, you can return it for a full refund (excluding shipping charges), subject to the merchandise being in unused, like-new condition and in its original packaging. Please note that special orders, custom seed mixes, live plants (for example, flower bulbs, bareroot trees and berries, onions, garlic, potatoes, and so forth) and beneficial insects are not returnable unless there is an obvious problem upon delivery (if so, call us immediately). Using the return form with your order, send the product back to us securely wrapped, freight prepaid and insured against loss or damage. If a defective product is still under the manufacturer's warranty, we may request that you ship it directly to the manufacturer, so please always call us first.
