| Research & Grant Associations | Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) & Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN)-SARE is a U.S. Department Agriculture-funded initiative that sponsors competitive grants for sustainable agriculture research and education in a regional process nationwide. SAN is the communications and outreach arm of the SARE program. Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF)- is a non-profit, tax-exempt foundation directed by certified organic farmers. Founded in 1990, they are one of the only organizations supporting organic farming grant-making research and advocacy in the U.S. They publish a quarterly bulletin containing recent organic research. www.ofrf.org.
University of California Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program (SAREP)- SAREP provides leadership and support for scientific research and education to encourage farmers, farm workers, and consumers in California to produce, distribute, process and consume food and fiber in a manner that is economically viable, sustains natural resources and biodiversity and enhances the quality of life in the state's diverse communities for present and future generations. www.sarep.ucdavis.edu.
