Description

Probable origin of Nutra-Min is crustacean shell deposits and non-volcanic hydrothermal deposits along with acidic rocks from an ancient inland sea. Derived from bentonite, kaolinite, and montmorillonite, 1,000-2,000 mesh micronized material can be applied through any type of irrigation system. Two or more applications will produce best results. May be mixed with other liquid or micronized materials.

  • Contains 50-60% Si, 2% Ca, 3% Fe and over 50 trace minerals.
  • Foliar or fertigation applications: use 5 lb/acre, 3 times/crop.
  • For gardens: foliar rates are 0.5-1 oz/1,000 sq ft.
  • For soil applications use 2-4 oz/1,000 sq ft.

Reviews

The application rate seems extremely low

The application rate for this works out to 2/5 oz to 100 sq. ft for soil application rate.
Why so low?
What's the toxicity problem with this Nutra-Min product to warrant such a low rate of application?

2 to 4oz per 1000sqft?

Come on, 2 to 4 oz per 1000sqft. You've got to be kidding. What happens if you put more,… I think more would have positive effect,….no?
Such as when you're fertilizing individual plants, and you want to blend fertilizers, such as blending this with rock phosphate and sulfate of potash. Blend it all up, and scoop some of the blend to put around fruit trees. Even if you get just one bag of each. Completely different rate of application than what you recommendations are.
Seems to work fine for my fruit trees,…. had the best tangerine crop ever on my 20 year old tangerine tree. The fertilizer was the only difference, just a few cups of the blend tossed on the soil,… and only watered in by some modest amount of rain. Or else the success was just a fluke.
