Annual Organically Grown. Tall, single flowered variety with 8 - 12" flowers. Taiyo's orange and yellow blooms with a chocolate center are popular with florists. Plant seed 6" apart and 1/2" deep after spring frost. Thin to 1' apart when plants reach 2" tall.

Helianthus annuus A favorite old Japanese variety, this is the sunflower often sold by florists as it is gorgeous, formal-looking and long-lasting. Huge flowers 5-10 across with short golden-yellow petals. Grows to 5 tall. Good border sunflower; pinch back to 3-4 stems/plant if growing for cut flowers. Approx. 70 seeds/pack, 10,100 seeds/lb.
