Sprouting involves soaking, draining, and rinsing food grade seeds until they begin to germinate. Sprouts are rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins, amino acids, beneficial enzymes and more. Planting & Care

Days to Sprout: Sprout 2-3, Grass 8-10

Best Sprouting Methods: Jar or Sprouting Tray (such as the Sproutmaster Trays )

Optimal Soak Time: 4-8 hours

Easy sprouting directions for 3 day sprouts (jar method):

SOAK- Put 3-5 Tbsp. seed in a wide mouth jar. Cover with mesh and secure with rubber band. Add water, swirl, and drain. Add 1 cup cool water and soak for 4-8 hours. Drain well.

RINSE - Twice a day, refill jar with cool water, swirl, and drain. Invert jar and prop at an angle in a sink or bowl.

ENJOY - Ready to eat in 2-3 days. Refrigerate to store.

Easy sprouting directions for Growing Wheatgrass (tray method):

SOAK- Soak the seed in water for 4-8 hours. Drain. Spread two layer deep in the bottom of a sprouting tray with drainage holes.

RINSE - Rinse or mist twice a day, carefully at first so you don’t disturb the seed until the roots catch onto the tray. Cover between rinses. For darker green leaves cover with clear plastic.

ENJOY - Ready to cut and juice in 9 to 12 days.

Nutrition Wheat, sprouted- A good source of protein, vitamins C and B6, calcium, iron, magnesium, pantothenic acid, phosphorus, and amino acids. Wheat grass- Chlorophyll, Vit. A, B, C, & E; minerals.

Yield 1 tbsp of dry seed yields approx 3-4 cups of sprouts.

Storage & Shelf Life Our seeds should sprout well for a year after you purchase them, if stored in a cool dry place. If you’d like to extend the germination life of your seeds, store them in the fridge. If you store your seeds in the freezer, they’ll last almost indefinitely.
