Pea - Sugar Snap - Pisum sativum

Hardy annual Snap. Sweet and crunchy edible pods and peas grow on tall vines. Pods are 2"-3" long, _" across, and bear over a long picking period. Yields well in both hot and cold weather.

Soil & Water: Well drained, fertile, slightly acidic to neutral soil. Adequate water is needed for high yield.

Planting & Growing: Direct seed in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked. For best yields and easier picking, provide support at planting time with a fence or trellis

Harvesting & Storage: Harvest when the peas enlarge in the pods. Good for freezing and canning.
