Description

Cherry Tomato - Rainbow Mix - Lycopersicon esculentum

Tender annual A colorful mix of sweet, candy-like cherry tomatoes. Sweetie (Red), Bi Color (orange and red), White, and Yellow cherry tomatoes will provide a rainbow of flavors all summer long.

Did You Know? Tomato plants emit a mild toxin that discourages many small insects from bothering them.

Soil & Water: Tomatoes love fertile soil rich in organic matter. Add plenty of compost prior to planting. Soil pH is preferred between 5.5-7.0. Avoid wetting the foliage when watering.

Planting & Growing: Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Before transplanting after the last frost, harden off the plants by placing them outdoors for a few hours to start working up to a full day. Cherry tomatoes can be grown in 5 gal (or larger) containers. Use a cage or stakes to support vines. One plant per container.

Harvesting & Storage: Tomatoes store well in a cool, dry location out of direct sunlight. Storing them in the refrigerator will cause them to lose their flavor and texture.
