Cherry Tomato - Grape Riesenstraube - Lycopersicon esculentum
Tender annual Semi-determinate. Heirloom. The vine produces long clusters of twelve to sixteen bright red baby grape tomatoes, weighing about an ounce each. They are very sweet which has made them a favorite of people everywhere.
Soil & Water: Tomatoes love fertile soil rich in organic matter. Add plenty of compost prior to planting. Soil pH is preferred between 5.5-7.0. Mulch to preserve moisture. Avoid wetting the foliage when watering.
Planting & Growing: Sow indoors 5 - 7 weeks before last frost. Direct sow in a sunny site when danger of frost has passed.
Harvesting & Storage: Provide plenty of even water until fruit starts to color, then reduce water so that fruit will be more flavorful. Harvest tomatoes when they are in full color for most flavor.
