Hardy Perennial Heirloom. The classic, cool, sharp mint flavor in this vigorous herb. Use the leaves for hot teas, and as an essential summer garnish on cold drinks, fruit salads, ice cream, and any other desserts. Red-violet flowers in summer are edible too.
Soil and Water:Grows best in well drained, loamy soil with a moderate amount of water.
Planting and Growing:Sow indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost. Sow outdoors in full sun when warm weather is stable. Plant this in containers or its energetic roots will spread throughout your garden.
Harvesting and Storage:Snip off leaves to use fresh, or cut leafy stems or branches to dry for tea or potpourri. Mint in containers should be divided, cut back, and replanted each spring.
