Uniquely Shaped Yellow Peach

Semi-dwarf on Citation rootstock.

  • Zones: 6-9
  • Chill hours: 300 - 400
  • Bloom Time: Late Mid-Season (Based on typical Central Valley California weather)
  • Harvest: August 20 - September 10
  • Looks: The large fruit is flat and "donut" shaped, with yellow flesh.
  • Personality: Classic peach flavor. Our customers rave about the flavor of this peach in their own gardens. Kids love to eat this funny shaped, really good fruit.
  • Facts of note: Larger than the average donut type peach. The first yellow donut type peach. It was developed by Dave Wilson in 2002. Sets heavily in Central California.
  • Pollination: Self-fruitful.

Peaches requiring regular pruning and thinning. Needs fertile, well drained soils. Tend to bloom early and may be difficult to crop in late frost areas. Plant several varieties for continued supply, as ripe fruit does not store well. Susceptible to peach leaf curl, brown rot, oriental fruit moth and peach twig borer. Harvest 1st year. Citation reach .5 to 2/3 standard (about 8-14'). By pruning, keep any tree to any size.

Check out our Fruit Tree Harvest Chart to plan for successive harvests.

Please Note: Although most of our bare-root trees arrive to our warehouse in mid-December, there are a few varieties -- Mulberry, Persimmon, Quince, and Walnut -- that will not arrive until mid-January. If you order any of those varieties along with varieties that arrive in mid-December, your order will be delayed for shipment until mid-January. If you'd like us to split your shipments, please contact us at (800) 784-1722 or Additional shipping charges will apply.
