Phacelia tanacetifolia Annual cool season cover crop. Non-legume, fast-growing broadleaf (2'-3'). Excellent ability to accumulate and recycle excess Nitrates and Calcium. Bees love its blue flowers. Winter kills at 20°F. When planted at high seeding rates, it provides good weed suppression and the succulent tissue is easy to incorporate. Can be used for feed or hay in soil with low to medium Nitrogen availability. Plant in early fall in most climates 0.125"-0.25 deep at 4-5 lb/acre or 2-3 oz/1000 sq ft. (No inoculant required)
