| Ordering On-Line: What to Expect | Online ordering enables you to order 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It also allows us to feature bargain items and sales on the website, which for practical reasons, may not be available for phone or mail orders.
Processing time for internet orders is identical to this of phone or mail orders. On the average, we ship (Monday through Friday) in-stock items within 1-2 business days of receiving your order. In the busy seasons, (March through May and September through October) orders may be delayed by a few additional days (in such case, we would let you know). For commercial growers however, upon request, we will always do our best to rush your order if your crop is in dire need of one of our pest controls or other critical products. Please expect 2 to 6 working days for travel time when shipping via Ground. See Shipping.

| Back Orders | If some items on your order are temporarely out-of-stock, we may hold your order for up to 2-3 working days until the missing item(s) becomes available. If you cannot wait at all, please tell us so in the Comments field. In the event we experience a longer delay, we will follow the instructions you gave us during the check-out process: (a) ship what is available and the back-ordered item(s) later (shipping charges will likely be higher in such a case) or (b) wait until everything is in stock (in such a case, we would contact you with an expected delivery date) or (c) simply cancel the back-ordered item(s).

| Payments and Prices | For internet purchases, we only accept Visa or Mastercard (unless you are set-up with terms with us). Sorry, no C.O.D.'s. All prices are subject to change without notice, although we do our best to hold them throughout the year. We will notify you of any significant price increase prior to shipping.

| Returns | If any item proves unsatisfactory within 30 days of the date of purchase, you can return it for a full refund, subject to the merchandise being in resalable condition in its original packaging. Please use the return form included with your shipment and send the product back to us securely wrapped, freight prepaid and insured against loss or damage.
Please note that special orders, custom seed mixes, live plants (i.e. flower bulbs, trees, onions, garlic, potatoes...etc.) and beneficial insects are non-refundable unless there is an obvious quality problem upon delivery (you must call us immediately first if this occurs).
For defective products still under manufacturer's warranty, please call us first at (888)784-1722, ext. 315, as we may request you to ship the item directly back to the manufacturer. |
| Peaceful Valley Farm Supply Catalogs | We print our Main Catalog, once a year, on recycled newsprint to conserve natural resources. When you have ordered from us, you automatically receive our Main Catalog as well as its Fall Supplement once each year, unless you request otherwise. In Fall, we offer a great selection of high quality Spring blooming flower bulbs, organic and commercial seed potatoes, garlic, onion transplants, shallots, bare-root fruit trees and berries, strawberries and more.
You can ask for our free Main or Fall Catalog while ordering on-line (see Checkout) or in the Free Catalog Request (where you can also download them as Adobe Acrobat pdf files).

Nonetheless, all fertilizers featured are, to the best of our knowledge, "organic" (unless otherwise noted) as defined by the state of California as of January 2002. Please note that we have also identified materials which are OMRI listed and/or that meet the USDA National Organic Program (NOP), as of January 2002. | Beneficial Insects | | For delivery of beneficial insects, viability can only be guaranteed if someone is available in person to accept and inspect the insects immediately upon delivery. If driver is instructed to leave package in a cool, safe place for a short period of time, viability should not be compromised but cannot be guaranteed. If no one is available and no instructions have been left, delivery may be re-attempted the next business day. Viability may be compromised and will not be guaranteed. Based on the above, the best address to use is often a work address. If you suspect viability problems you must contact us upon receipt, on the day of delivery, for a replacement at no charge. |
| Receipt of Truck Orders & FedEx | | On truck shipments, do not sign for your order until you have confirmed an identical count of boxes, bags, rolls, bundles and pails and have checked very carefully for apparent and/or concealed damage. We will not accept any responsibility for missing and/or damaged items unless you note a count discrepancy and/or identify damage on the bill of lading at the time of delivery! On FedEx shipments, if there is noticeable damage upon receipt of your order and you are signing for it, be sure to note the damage with the driver. If FedEx has left the package at your house or you later find concealed damage in your package, we may still file a claim with them. Please call us immediately upon receipt of your shipment if there are any problems. |
