Wild Sunflower - Helianthus annus
Annual Open Pollinated. This is the original sunflower from which all modern cultivars are derived from. Plants reach over 10 feet and are adorned with multiple branches of yellow ray-like flowers. Requires full sun and moderately moist soil. Easy to grow from seed. Sow seed 1/2" deep in spring after danger of last frost has passed. Thin seedlings to 1' apart when plants reach 6" tall.
