Planting & Care

Soil & Water:Start seedlings in seed starter mix. Transplant into garden soil well amended with aged manure or compost, Require consistent moisture. Fertilize regularly throughout the season.

Planting & Growing: Best started indoors about 2 months before outdoor temperatures are consistently in the 50-55 degree range. Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep and 1 inch apart in container of seed starting mix. Keep moist and warm (80-85 degrees) with a strong light source until ready to transplant outdoors. When 2 inches tall, transplant 2-3 inches apart into deeper containers. Maintain at 70-75 degrees and feed every two weeks with half-strength liquid fertilizer.. Transplant 2 feet apart in full sun.

Harvesting & Storage:Pick when fruits have sized up and are firm fleshed and glossy.
