Heat mats really sped up and improve my germination. The construction of the mat is quality and doesn't feel chinzy at all. I've used it for two seasons now and I often get germination after only three days. Dramatically improved the germination rates of peppers and tomatoes, which I've done with and without a heat mat. In the off season the mat works great for rising bread dough! (Posted on 4/3/12)
