Trigonella foenum-graecum Annual cool season legume cover crop. Will germinate at lower soil temperatures than most other winter legumes, making quick growth if planted before mid-December in most years. Excellent for opening heavy soils. Flowers are white with blue markings, foliage is quite aromatic, and the seeds are used medicinally and for cooking. Low growth (to 2') makes it easy to turn under, but contributes less organic matter than other cool weather legumes. Seed at 35-50 lb/acre or 1-2 lb/1000 sq ft. Raw seed, requires Alfalfa-Clover inoculant
