I finally have a big garden and have become very interested in food preservation. I decided to buy this crock over others as the quality was superb and it seemed easy to use. I was right on both counts. The crock is very well made, and the weight stones and lid make it very easy to use. I made a big batch of sauerkraut four weeks ago and we began eating it yesterday. It was so delicious, crunchy and excellent flavor. I'm going to try a big batch of mixed veggies next, and am excited to make mead for the holidays. (Posted on 5/12/13)Rating
