The steel is low quality Chinese steel. The blades need sharpened after only a few minutes. The plastic is like almost all other Chinese plastics, junk. The handles flex when using even moderate pressure while pruning. These may be okay for cutting flowers but will not hold up to pruning fruiting plants and trees. Save your money and buy Corona or Felco. Either of those brands will last 10 times as long.
