The deer were eating our tomatoes, cucumbers and sunflowers. We tried spraying this product around the garden, front and back of our house, and the deer stayed away. It does have a strong odor for a short time, but when it dries you cannot smell it at all. Might want to keep your windows closed during the spraying and until it dries.
