I bought this over 12 years ago and it's been thru the ringer. Handles never broke and I think it might just last a lifetime. I use it for when I am weeding, adding compost, cleaning the coop. water has frozen in it in winter several times, no effect. I wont buy the competitors, they don't last a season. I am buying another now, well, because I need two. :)
