Planting & Care
Soil & Water:Keep seed bed consistently moist. Plant directly into well worked soil in full sun or a spot that receives partial afternoon shade.
Planting & Growing: Sow directly into well worked soil, one inch apart and barely cover.
Remove edible flower stalks if they form so as not to diminish leaf quality.
Harvesting & Storage:Begin harvesting seedlings when several inches tall. Leave remaining seedlings to pick individual leaves when 3-4 inches long or snip entire rosette about 1 inch above the crown and let plants regrow for extended harvest. This variety stays leafy so you can use it all season.
Extremes in heat increases pungent taste.
