Planting & Care
Soil & Water:Sow in finely worked soil in full sun. Consistent moisture and mild weather conditions create the best flavor. After cutting, water the remaining tops and fertilize lightly and plants will regrow for several more harvests.
Planting & Growing:Best direct seeded by sowing in finely worked soil during cool early spring weather and again in late summer for fall harvest. Shake seed to broadcast lightly over entire seedbed. Cover lightly and evenly with 1/2 inch of fine soil. Firm gently and water with a fine spray and keep bed evenly moist.
Harvesting & Storage:Using the "cut and come again" method, take scissors and shear about one inch above soil level. Cut the leaves when they are 2-3 inches tall for tender micro leaves or let grow to 4-6 inches for sweet braising greens.
