Planting & Care
Soil & Water:Requires finely worked soil for sowing in full sun or partial shade during hotter season. Keep seed bed evenly moist. Water and fertilize after harvesting leaves to promote growth for several more cuttings.
Planting & Growing:Shake seed to broadcast about 1/2 inch apart over entire bed or in wide rows and cover lightly and evenly with 1/4 inch soil. Firm soil gently and water with a fine spray or mist and keep bed evenly moist. Make small sowings until summer weather turns hot.
To extend the season, sow in light shade or erect a canopy.
Harvesting & Storage: Harvest by the "cut and come again" method, beginning when plants are 4-5 inches tall. Shear off needed leaves 1-2 inches above soil level.
