Generally late blooming, apple trees need full sun, well-drained soil, and moderate fertility. Can be susceptible to codling moth, apple scab, powdery mildew and gophers. Generally cross-fertile, (pollenized by a different variety... three or more varieties are best).
All semi-dwarf trees are on M-111 rootstock which tolerates wet soil, dry soil & poor soil. It also resists woolly apple aphids and collar rot and is a great all-around rootstock for apples. Semi-dwarf trees will grow to 14'-20'. Trees are 2 years old and should begin to fruit in their 3rd year.
All our dormant trees (except Pecan trees) and berries come with a limited replacement guarantee.
For best success, be sure to choose a tree that will grow in your USDA zone, has an appropriate number of chill hours for your climate. If a pollinator is needed, make sure they're planted within 50 feet of each other and will bloom at the same time. Finally, what are your desired harvest intervals (all at once for canning or spread out for fresh eating)? Enjoy!
