Citrus Trees

ATTENTION "POLAR VORTEX" AFFECTED CUSTOMERS

When your order arrives, you should remove it from the outside elements before nightfall, preferably sooner. If you will not be present at the shipping destination when the order will be delivered, you should either ship the order to another location or make sure someone will be there to take care of your order.

While your order is hardy enough to withstand freezing temperatures in its box, you cannot leave it outside in sub-zero temperatures for days and expect it to survive.

AS IMPORTANTLY, you then need to open the box, remove the trees/plants from the plastic bag, store the trees/plants in a basement-cellar-garage, cover their roots with sand-dirt-sawdust-wood chips and keep them moist until you are able to plant them in the ground.

About Citrus Trees

Add a little zest to your garden! Citrus trees are potted, evergreen, semi-dwarf, 1½-years-old, pencil caliper, 18”-24” tall. They will, with good care, produce fragrant, self-pollinating flowers and wonderful fruit. Height 8’–12’, but can be pruned to suit in ground or in containers. Choose a sunny location, in well drained soil, sheltered from wind. They are affected by below freezing temperatures, and in many locales require cold protection. Some need accumulated heat for ripening.

Most tender to most hardy: Bearss Lime, lemons, orange, tangelo, grapefruit, mandarin, kumquat.   Zones 6–11 and self-pollinated.

Ship weight 6 lb; Non-taxable. Cannot be sold in FL, TX, AZ, HI or counties of Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernadino, Santa Barbara, Fresno, Kern, and Tulare in CA

Generally available from September 15 - March 15

All potted fruit trees ship via FedEx Ground.

We guarantee that potted trees will arrive in good viable condition. If they do not, contact customer service immediately. As they are evergreen they are not subject to the bare-root Limited Replacement Guarantee.

Selecting the Perfect Tree

For best success, be sure to choose a tree that will grow in your USDA zone, has an appropriate number of chill hours for your climate. If a pollinator is needed, make sure they're planted within 50 feet of each other and will bloom at the same time. Finally, what are your desired harvest intervals (all at once for canning or spread out for fresh eating)? Enjoy!
