Description

The patented Smart Pot is a soft-sided, fabric aeration container that has the rigidity to hold its shape. It is foldable and made with a UV stabilizer. It will last from 3 to 5 years, depending on location.

Smart Pots let the roots grow out to the side of the pot where they come in contact with air. The root tips then dry out and cause the plant to create more roots laterally, filling the container with more roots. Even though the Smart Pot is completely porous, it can be used with any medium without worrying about particles leaching out.

The aeration also releases heat, up to 30 degrees more than traditional plastic. With a cooler container, roots will grow even in hotter temperatures as well as keeping microorganism life alive and working.

Great product

I used these smart pots to grow one tomato in each. The tomatoes did great! The pots are easy to use and look great too. I was a little concerned that with the light color some spotting or staining might occur from the soil inside, but so far that has not happened. After the season, they can be moved to another location, if needed, and brought out again for next year. Great for a small yard or where the ground soil is not suitable for gardening. Recommend!
