Lolium perenne Perennial cover crop.

Similar to Linn ryegrass, but has faster regrowth after cutting or grazing. However, it is less persistent than Linn ryegrass. Grows best in regions with mild winters.

  • Days to Maturity: 4-6 weeks
  • Uses: Erosion control, forage, turfgrass
  • Facts to Note: Requires summer irrigation, performs best in fertile soil. Can be planted in the spring or fall. Most productive and nutritious when grazed with 6-8 inches of growth. Livestock should be removed when plants have been grazed to 3 inches.
