Properly set in an active run, the Black Box Trap appears to be part of the tunnel and snares the unsuspecting gopher in a spring-triggered loop. Easy to use and easy to set. Dimensions are 6 long x 3.5 wide.
I have only ever caught dirt with a box trap. I guess it could have been my method, but I have caught lots of gophers with the Victor trap, so.............Review by Steven (on 5/6/14)
intersect a tunnel with shovel. clean out dirt and place each trap facing toward gopher holes (one facing hole A and one facing hole B.) Seal air spaces top of traps and around cracks between trap and dirt walls with peices of dried grass or leaves and sprinkle dirt over.cover hole with boards and cloth then cover entire top with dirt so no light will get thru. check traps the next day. if yoy did it right ,one trap will snare a gopher. good luck.Review by go fer grape vines (on 3/1/13)
