Phleum pratense Perennial bunchgrass which reproduces only by seed. One of the most important hay-grass varieties in the U.S. Best for cool, moist, climates, this grass cannot tolerate drought, high temperatures, or close grazing. Although it requires good drainage, it thrives where moisture is abundant. Do not plant south of 36° latitude. Grows 2 to 2.5 ft. Planting rate: 12-15 lb/acre or 1-2 lb/1000 sq ft. (No inoculant needed)
