Planting & Care
Soil & Water:Grow best in well amended soil in sunny location. Keep well watered for best bloom.
Planting & Growing:To Start Directly in the Garden: Sow seeds several inches apart in a well-worked, fine textured seedbed in full sun when the danger of frost has passed and weather is above 50°F both day and night. Cover about 1/4” and gently firm soil. Keep evenly moist while awaiting germination. Thin seedlings to 5” apart when large enough to handle. To Start Early Indoors: Four to six weeks before the last frost date, sow seeds 1/4” deep and 2” apart in containers of seed starting mix. Keep warm and moist and provide a strong light source. Just as soon as seedlings have several sets of true leaves, and weather is above 50°F both day and night, transplant outdoors about 5” apart.
