Chapin Drip Tape - 15 mil, 8" emitter spacing (4000' Roll)

Chapin Drip Tape - 15 mil, 8" emitter spacing (4000' Roll)

When Every Drop Counts

Drip tape must be used on low water pressure (approx 10 PSI), achieved by installing a pressure regulator (IRH819). The absolute max operating pressure for 15 mil is 35 PSI. At 10 PSI, this drip tape distributes 40 gallons per hour (GPH) per 100'. Every 2000' of drip tape requires a filter (IRF176 or IRF410) and a pressure regulator.

Features and Specifications:

  • Multiple Inlet Orifices ensure a continuous water flow to each dripper.
  • Turbulent Flow Path design provides larger internal dimensions offering higher resistance to clogging.
  • Engineered extruded high quality polyethylene film ensures round sides providing higher resistance to insect bites and field abrasion.
  • Off center outlets restricts water movement along the tape and ensures each drop falls to the soil.
  • Slit design outlet will prevent root intrusion and soil ingestion.
  • Longer flow path ensures true drip flow, no squirts.
  • A low emitter exponent will ensure less flow and pressure variation on steep slopes to help increase emission uniformity.
  • Lower winding tension to ensure less retraction in the field and avoid kinking and snaking during installation.
  • The 5/8" size BTF model features multiple inlet filters.
  • Good for 4-5 seasons.

Unlike other tapes, Chapin Tape has a unique extruded film profile with extra strength and thickness where it is needed most: the rounded tape edges that increase resistance to abrasion and insect damage.

With decades of proven performance, Chapin Tape provides consistently outstanding performance; premium performance for the most demanding applications.

Chapin Drip Tape: An Efficient Irrigation Solution

Irrigation is a critical component of modern agriculture, ensuring that crops receive the right amount of water for optimal growth and yield. Among the various irrigation methods available, drip irrigation has gained significant popularity due to its efficiency in water conservation and delivering water directly to plant roots. Chapin Drip Tape is a notable product in the world of drip irrigation, known for its effectiveness and reliability.

Drip Irrigation: A Sustainable Approach

Before delving into Chapin Drip Tape, it's essential to understand the concept of drip irrigation. Drip irrigation involves the slow and precise application of water directly to the base of plants through a network of tubes or tapes. This method minimizes water wastage through evaporation and runoff, making it an environmentally friendly and cost-effective solution for irrigating various crops.

Chapin Drip Tape: Key Features

Chapin Drip Tape stands out in the market due to its impressive features:

  1. 15 Mil Thickness: The Chapin Drip Tape boasts a thickness of 15 mil, making it durable and long-lasting. This thickness ensures that it can withstand the rigors of outdoor use and resist damage from UV rays, chemicals, and physical stress.

  2. 8 Emitter Spacing: The 8-inch emitter spacing on the Chapin Drip Tape ensures even and consistent water distribution across the entire field. This uniformity is crucial for promoting healthy crop growth, as it prevents over- or under-irrigation.

  3. Roll Length: Each roll of Chapin Drip Tape comes in a generous 4000-foot length. This length allows for flexibility in designing irrigation systems for different field sizes, ensuring efficient water delivery wherever it's needed.

  4. High Flow Rate: The Chapin Drip Tape boasts a high flow rate, delivering water efficiently and quickly to plants. This feature is particularly advantageous in regions with limited water availability, as it maximizes the effectiveness of the available water resources.

Benefits of Chapin Drip Tape

  1. Water Efficiency: Chapin Drip Tape excels in water conservation. By delivering water directly to the root zone, it minimizes water wastage through evaporation, runoff, and deep percolation, ultimately reducing water consumption.

  2. Increased Crop Yields: The precise and consistent water distribution provided by Chapin Drip Tape promotes healthier and more vigorous plant growth. This, in turn, leads to higher crop yields and improved crop quality.

  3. Reduced Weed Growth: Drip irrigation significantly reduces the moisture levels on the soil surface, making it less conducive to weed growth. This helps reduce the need for manual weeding and herbicides.

  4. Energy Savings: Unlike some other irrigation methods, drip irrigation is energy-efficient. It requires lower pressure and less energy to operate, resulting in cost savings for farmers.

Applications of Chapin Drip Tape

Chapin Drip Tape is versatile and can be used in a wide range of agricultural applications. It is commonly employed in:

  1. Row Crops: Chapin Drip Tape is ideal for row crops such as vegetables, melons, and strawberries. Its precise water delivery ensures that each plant receives the required moisture.

  2. Orchards and Vineyards: Fruit trees and grapevines benefit from the consistent water supply provided by drip tape, promoting healthy fruit development and improving overall yield.

  3. Greenhouses: Drip tape is also suitable for greenhouse cultivation, where controlled irrigation is crucial for optimal plant growth.

Chapin Drip Tape is a reliable and efficient irrigation solution that offers numerous benefits to farmers and growers. Its durability, precise water distribution, and versatility make it an excellent choice for a wide range of agricultural applications. By investing in Chapin Drip Tape, farmers can enhance their crop yields while conserving water and reducing operating costs.
