Evergreen perennial native to the Mediterranean, Europe, and Russia. Dark, green and shining leaves. Harvest the pre-flowering tops several times in the summer, shade dry, and rub out the stems. This makes a good spice.

Planting & Care

Soil & Water: Prefers full sun and well-drained garden soil.

Planting & Growing: In the spring, barely cover seed with soil, tamp securely and keep evenly moist and in the light until germination, which can take 1 - 3 weeks. Space 2 feet apart.

Harvesting & Storage:Can be harvested year around. For drying purposes, harvest before flowering.
