Maggot barriers plus nematodes and lure traps = success!

These maggot barriers are the best! If you have a small orchard and an established colony of codling moth, they will provide the extra layer of protection while you get your infestation under control. We combined the maggot barriers with the use of nematodes and codling moth lure traps and were able to eat all of our apples this year!

No instructions

Product appears to be OK, but top is very large to place over a small apple. There are no instructions on how to secure the top of the sock with the package or a how-to video on website.

First-time using these - looking forward to great apples!

The previous year I'd used homemade apple bags, stapled around the stem of each apple. It was very laborious, but worked fairly well; although I had to remove the bags weeks before harvest so that the apples would color-up. These Maggot Barriers were simpler to put over the developing apples, and I believe they can be left on until harvest. It was difficult to tie them (aging hands) and the "rubber" bands I used disintegrated within days of being in the sun; so I replaced them with paper/wire twist ties.

Great product

I used these last season and had a fabulous crop about 99% maggot free! Great product.

Maggot Barriers

I absolutely love these codling moth and apple maggot barriers. We used to buy old stocking and cut them up into sections to cover our apples and pears in order to keep maggots from entering the core of the apple. It was very time consuming. We had to close the open ends with twist ties. Now we just slip the Maggot Barrier over the fruit and twist the open end around the apple to close it. Stockings are also much thinner than the barriers and don't last as long as Maggot Barriers. No more codling moths destroying our fruit!
